One of my white roses blooming. We've had a ton of rain lately, makes it difficult to take pictures of anything outside.

House to be?

Back for a second look-see at this house... still love it. Think we'll be putting in an offer tomorrow. Is it too soon to be envisioning these columns festooned with garland and lights? Jingle bells, jingle bells....

House shopping today, this was parked in the (massive) yard of house #3. Great house, fab land, but in the middle of nowhere. A shame though, Jonah would have loved to have kept this tractor for his own :)

Peonies

My neighbour's peony, amazing how freaking huge they grow. A shame the ants love them even more than I do.

Last day of school

How much they've grown and changed these past 10 months! Time flies.

Ribfest 2008!

Yeah, ribfest along Sparks St is back. Love me some seared pig flesh :)

This is "Billy Bones" - I thought they had the best ribs this year. The sauce was amazing, zingy, delicious.

Performance

End of year performance at the kids' school. This is Jonah's class (he's the speck in the light blue shirt), they all sang sweetly and none of them fell off the stage or ran away (at least in j-man's class).

Parade

We were headed to the By Ward Market to buy fresh fruit and veggies when we came upon this parade of veterans at the War Memorial, commemorating the end of the Korean War.

Water guns

Is this child a boy or what? Hand him the big mother of all water guns and he's as happy as a pig in you know what!

Rosy

I know, I obsess about them, but they make me so happy! I love my flowers.

Now that's talent!

Genetic or learned I don't know, but all of the kids and I can do it but C can't...

Speedy

Taking a drive through the country we happened upon this guy crossing the street (why did the turtle cross the street?) C wanted to whisk him across so he wouldn't become a turtle pancake, but he moved deceptively fast when C tried to grab him. Eventually he wandered back from whence he came.

Beat the heat

A simple sprinkler on a humid day - the kids don't seem to notice it's not as swank as a pool...

Scary clowns, they're everywhere!!!

Another scary clown encounter (this time at the kids' daycare party). Strangely enough, I think it's the *same* scary clown we saw here! This time scary clown was speaking French, but we think she's one and the same....

I made it!

I used a template from Jessica Sprague, filled it with my own pictures and text, uploaded it to Snapfish et voila - I'm published (heh, well not really, but I'm going to say that anyway ;) ). Super pleased with it - there are a few issues I'll tweak before I do another, but the print quality is excellent, the hard cover is beautiful and it really looks professional.

Reminders

Little reminders that even in the dreariest of times there are bits of sweetness and light.

Rock Star

One last present for Jonah, since it's his actual birthday today. Just a cheap electronic guitar with microphone (and many horrible pre-set 'songs'), but both kids just adore it! Makes for some pretty funny performances too!

Another birthday

Wookie's birthday isn't actually until tomorrow, but today being Sunday it was the ideal time to celebrate. Nothing much, just a barbeque with our extended family, a big pile of presents and a spider man cake. My last baby is 5. Time is flying by so incredibly quickly.
