Kitty's very bad day...

Jonah (accidentally!) slammed Binou's tail in the door Saturday. We really had no
idea it was serious, but it was such a deep cut C took her to the emergency vet in the city figuring she needed stitches or an antibiotic. Instead they needed to amputate 1/3 of her tail (from just above the injury). Katie was near inconsolable. Jonah was guilt-wracked, though he doesn't really understand.

With her first, smaller, cone she managed to get the bandaging off her tail, so after re-wrapping it the vet put her in a ridiculous huge dog-sized collar. She can barely walk it's so heavy, but when we take it off for her to eat she's VERY interested in her bandages, so the cone will have to stay.

Poor kitty :(

Crafty!

Kitties needed a cat bed (because our floors are cold and our furniture is getting mighty furry), so I made one :) It's BIG, big enough for two anyway, and probably a little over-stuffed. They seem to like it anyway :)

Looks like the kitties have found a warm, comfy place to sleep. I don't think Princess will mind too much!

Little darlin's

Toupie and Binoue watching the world go by outside the screen door. They're indoor kitties (at least for now) but already fascinated by everything they see through the glass and mesh.

Yup, we've lost our marbles

Introducing our two newest additions - Toupie and Binoue (Toupie is the tabby, male we think, Binoue is the calico and female, as all calicos are). 6 week old littermates from C's coworker. I'm terribly allergic to cats, and yet, how could we resist? The bits really needed a pet, and hopefully having two will keep them from being lonely (and destructive) while we're at work. Wish us luck...
