These guys just love one of the rose bushes out front. Try as I might I couldn't get a decent shot of this fella taking a pollen bath in the little rose bowl, he just wouldn't hold still, but you get the idea. He rolled around and rubbed himself well with the pollen - so neat!

The village we've moved to is tiny, around 300-ish homes (in fact, C says it's too small to be a village, that it's a hamlet) and yet it also has a whopping 3 churches. That's a whole lot of praying per capita!
I love this sweet little stone church. I don't know much about it yet, but I hope to soon.

I just love this house, near my mother-in-law's home. It reminds me of an English cottage (minus the thatched roof, this is Canada after all). I'd love to retire to a place like this, and putter around the gardens.
Still in limbo...

LOL, they way they're all standing there in perfect staggered line reminds me of class pictures :) These were the 'teenager' ducks we fed today, the cute itty bitty fluffy guys weren't brave enough to come this close.
One last trip to Mooney's to feed the ducks before we move. Sigh. One place I'll miss about this neighbourhood (and so many I won't).

Those little things that you have no idea are wrong with your house until a home inspector comes... the inspector found a little (non-leaking) crack in our foundation. No big really since it's a condo but we facilitated the repair anyway. Today they came in with air compressors and stinky stuff and injected some polymer resin into the crack. I'm not exactly sure what this little port is (they left several sticking out of the wall and made no mention of coming back to collect them) but the dried resin drool is pretty cool looking :)

This cute little (and I mean SMALL!) old cottage near my sister-in-law's house is on the market for...
... a whopping $475,000, AND you can't even view the inside of the house! It's being sold for land value only. Someone will buy the 50 x 100 piece of property it sits on, tear it down and build a monstrosity.

My baby is off to sleep-away camp for the first time. She was so excited. Her papa was a wreck. I was somewhere in between - excited and scared but mostly melancholic for the fun I had as a (not quite as young as she is) kid at sleep-away camp. Another big leap towards independence.
